ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

-> Presentations are expected to be in MS PowerPoint. 

♦ The required aspect ratio for presentation slides is 16:9.

♦ We strongly recommend that the slide's minimum font size be 22 pts so it can be read from the end of the room.

♦ Recommended fonts are Calibri, Arial, Century Gothic, Verdana, Garamond, Times New Roman, Times, Courier, Courier New, Palatino, Georgia, Tahoma, and Helvetica. If you use any special fonts, please embed it into your presentation file and upload the font file with your presentation. If in any doubt, please keep with default fonts.

♦ Please view you presentation in MS PowerPoint as a Slide Show in full screen before uploading.

-> At the venue, You can check and change your slides on preview computers in Cauldron Hall.

-> Files uploaded by 13 September will be already in the proper hall computer. You can also deliver your presentation on USB flash drive to the technician in your hall during the break before the previous session before your session.

-> Please check your presentation time in the programme HERE. Most presentations are 15 minutes long: 12 for presenting and 3 for Q&A. If you have 20 minutes slot then you have 15 minutes for presentation and 5 for Q&A. Please plan your presentation time accordingly.

 

 

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

The maximum size enabled for your poster is A0 - 841 mm (horizontal) x 1188 mm (vertical). Please choose a suitable format for your poster – portrait, not landscape. 

Posters will be mounted using double-sided removable adhesive tape meant for posters, provided by the organizer. 

-> Please print your poster on regular poster paper, do not print your poster on textile, vinyl or too heavy paper. 

-> Please do not put posters up using your own tape, it may damage the poster stands. 

Poster cases can be stored if the case is properly labelled. You can hand the poster case to the staff at the registration desk and then ask for it there when you would like to get it back. 

Please mount your poster as soon as you arrive at the venue and have received your badge. Please leave it up for as long as possible.

Two poster sessions have been arranged. At the venue, please follow the room plan to see where exactly you can find which poster board. 

1st block: presenters at their posters 17 September, 15:15-16:00

2nd block: presenters at their posters on 19 September, 15:15-16:00

During the time slot allocated to you, you need to stand next to your poster and talk about it to those interested in learning more. Make sure you get some coffee and snacks during this time as well.

 

Poster printing in Tallinn

Here are two suggestions in Tallinn where you can print out your A0 posters before the event. They are both within walking distance from the venue. Check Google Maps in advance.
